This class is being held for folks who identify as trans or non-binary, who have a curiosity on how to transform wood using hand carving and shaping techniques. There will be an emphasis on design and expression. Experiment with color, texture, and form as you develop your own personal style. Discuss how to apply your skills to furniture, functional objects, and wood sculpture. To encourage your ongoing practice, dive into tool care, sharpening, and learn how to create a viable hand-tool workspace at home. Projects and discussions will be geared toward all levels of experience.

Who should apply: Trans and non-binary applicants of all skill levels are welcome.
